Medicare Requires New Transmission System

 

These instructions are for all users not sending Medicare claims to Office Ally. If you are using Office Ally for Medicare claims you must use
follow their instructions. These instructions also assume that you have receieved you new User ID and Password from Palmetto.

Basically you are going to set up folders to put files, icons to click to send files, and a place to put the reports when they are returned to you
upon transmission. We have developed some materials to assist in this effort.

We recommend the the Hyper Terminal communication software to submit your Medicare claims to Palmetto. Hyper Terminal is part of Windows XP and should already be activated as a Windows component on most XP computers. If Hyper Terminal is not activated already, a XP user can use the sequence "Start, Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs, Add/Remove Windows Components" to activate it.

In order to install your shotcuts on your desktop please download and install "Setting Up Hyperterminal" for a simple setup. Follow the instructions that will follow the installation.

Once this is done the instructions for transmitting claims can be downloaded by clicking "Submmiting Claims to Palmetto" . This document explains each step
in the transmission process.
