E-Prescriptions Explained

 

Important Information for all UltraMED Users.

If your practice services Medicare patients and writes prescriptions, you should consider implementing the new "E-Prescription" program.

Click on the fact sheet (Introduction to E-Prescribing) to read more. You will notice that taking part in this program means that you will get a 2% bonus on your Medicare allowable for the year 2009. Starting in 2012 there is actually a penalty for not using some form of E-Prescription Program.

Your practice cannot afford to ignore this opportunity to increase your income and improve your operations and patient safety.

You will be happy to know that, unlike our competitors, we will be able to import your present patient base and facilitate additional future importing (if you choose to) for a flat $200.00 FEE WITH NO ADDITIONAL MONTHLY CHARGES!

  1. The process is fast and simple.  You can register for ePrescribe by visiting the website, https://erxnowregistration.allscripts.com.  You will need your DEA license number and state license number, as well as the expiration dates.  You will be required to answer a series of questions to verify your identity and license information.  Upon successful completion of the registration process, you will be asked to enter your practice location information, as well as some additional prescriber information.  At this point, you may register additional providers or clinical staff at your site, or authorize someone else at the practice to continue the site registration for you.
  2. Next you need to sign up with the website (for uploading your current patient data) at http://erxnowhelp.allscripts.com/selfmpl.html, logging in with your information from step 1. Your email address will be the ID, and you need to create a password.
  3. Use the "Support Central" link at ultramedusa.com to send us your patient upload order. Give us your User ID (email address) and password from step 2 and tell us how many years of active patients you want imported (we recommend 3). You MUST include your email address so we can keep you posted.
